New Eyeconic for 2013

In 2013, there will be another Eyeconic family member added to the fruit juice series.  It will be known as Pomegranate Lemonade.  Though more petit than the other two ('Eyeconic Lemonade' and 'Eyeconic Pink Lemonade'), it makes up for plant size with its larger, and more intense blotch.  The blotch starts dark pink when it first opens, and then changes to an even darker, more purplish color on the second day.  Being a smaller, somewhat spreading shrub, I think that it will be most attractive as a tree rose.

  2. Oh WOW!!! Can't wait to see PL available for purchase! Will be saving up for this one! Amazing color and pattern.

I am waiting for my E.Pink Lemonade to come into the 1st bloom cycle--so eager to see those blooms for myself. I got it own root (always my first preference) and it seems very vigorous so far. No sign of fungal problems as yet either & we have had plenty of wet weather with quite a few other roses showing a bit of blackspot as well as some botrytis type problems I have not seen here before. I am located in the central valley north of Sacramento.

  4. Thank you for all the kind comments. This is one of my favorites for intensity of blotch. The down side is that it produces very little pollen, and rarely produces a hip. I have not had any germinations from it.

Hi bnd, I hope that it makes it's way to France. I think that Meilland may have it in testing.
