Speckled Hulthemia

Over the years, I have seen a few speckled seedlings showing up from time to time.  Here is a brand new one and it is one of my favorites.  It is almost completely thornless and it sets hips!  I'm not sure whether the speckles will be as prominent outside, but since this one will make the "cut" for now, I will be seeing it outside next spring.

    :D ! Do you know the lineage of this one? I have a few spotted seedlings of my own, maybe there is a pattern!

      Hi Jakub, I think the speckling is coming from 'Midnight Blue' as it figures in heavily on both sides of the equation.

    Any updates on this rose? Was it culled? I was always curious but never asked, I love the speckles.

      It wasn’t a good grower and speckles weren’t consistent so was culled.
