When I first thought about sharing a video tour of our greenhouse on my blog, I thought that I would be doing it when the brand new seedlings were in bloom. I decided though that it might be better to first give an overview of our operation before showing the greenhouse in full bloom.
The seedlings are continuing to grow very quickly due to the nice spring-like temperatures that we are having, so I anticipate first blooms to be a bit earlier, probably sometime later this week.

That's great. I am glad you gave us an overview of the greenhouse. The roses are really popping outside. Its good to see and hear you explain how using a rose as a seed and then as a pollen parent presents very different germination rates. I have definitely seen this with mine as well. Glad you gave us a birds eye view and a snail's view of the seedlings so we can see how tall they are. Cant wait to see them when they are blooming. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThank you Dave!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tour, Jim. As I mentioned on the RHA forum, I showed my wife some of your plants at Lowes, and she had asked about how you create a "winning" rose. (For my part, I tried to tell her that the first step was to convincing the spouse to allow you to build a 1500 sf greenhouse. ;-) ) I look forward to sharing your tour with her.
ReplyDeleteHi Philip,
ReplyDeleteBest wishes on having your conversation with your wife about a greenhouse!
